Fortigate VPN SSO with Azure AD MFA

Labeltronix

Issue: The client aimed to address and reduce the inherent risks associated with remote users accessing the internal network via SSL VPN. Response: Akins IT assisted in the integration of Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) within the existing Fortinet and Azure Active Directory framework, as well as established Conditional Access policies to tailor the MFA functionality. Result: The combination of MFA with a VPN provided organizations with an additional security layer and ensured compliance. Furthermore, by incorporating SSO with Azure AD, organizations benefited from a seamless user experience, centralized user management, faster user onboarding, and improved security.

Hyperconverged and DR

Bella+Canvas

**Issue**: Bella Canvas has experienced rapid growth, leading to increased demands for storage and computing resources. They require both on-site and off-site disaster recovery (DR) solutions, as any downtime results in lost production time. **How We Assisted**: Akins IT collaborated with Nutanix to implement a 7-node hyper-converged system. Four high-performance nodes were set up at their Headquarters, while three lower-performance nodes were installed at their disaster recovery site. Both locations use Zerto for data replication, which is further backed up to Azure for added disaster recovery. **Outcome**: Akins IT successfully deployed a Hyper-Converged Infrastructure to meet the company's significant growth needs and enabled the IT team to quickly and effectively adapt to the new solutions.

Azure Migration/Azure File Storage

LSA

LSA is set to transition and upgrade its current infrastructure by utilizing a lift-and-shift migration to Azure. This approach will harness Azure's Platform-as-a-Service features, including integrated security, automatic updates, high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency. How We Assisted Akins IT will support the implementation and cloud adoption processes, maintaining active involvement and offering training to LSA's IT staff during the entire project duration. Outcomes Akins IT successfully moved on-premises infrastructure to Azure, enabling the organization to reap the advantages of cloud technology. File and SQL services were optimized into a Platform-as-a-Service model, resulting in enhanced security, reduced management demands, and cost savings.
