**Summary** We created an AI component that uses AI Style Transfer Technique to convert medical images from one domain to another. This component's purpose is to facilitate the reuse of existing software and machine learning models designed for processing specific image types, such as tissue images stained with a particular reagent, across other reagents. **Challenge** The client needed a method to apply a disease detection classifier, which was trained on a specific set of stained tissue images, to other tissue images stained with different reagents. A major challenge in this task is the lack of paired images for direct comparison, such as matching black and white images with their color counterparts. Possible solutions could involve creating new classifiers and processing tools for each type of reagent stain. However, these options are often costly and time-consuming. Consequently, the client commissioned AI Superior to conduct research and development to identify the best solution for the problem. **Solution by AI Superior** AI Superior assisted the client in quickly evaluating a range of advanced methodologies for histological images. Among various learning methods, AI Superior utilized Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) for unpaired image-to-image translation. GAN comprises two or more deep learning models and is focused on improving the image generation task to create images that visually resemble the input training set. Alongside the framework for translating images into the desired domain, AI Superior developed an interactive visualization tool to assess the quality of the generated images.

To enhance both efficiency and precision, we created an automated solution that streamlines the planning of solar panel installations. This solution employs deep learning models to accurately identify and divide roofs into separate sections, calculating the area and dimensions of each section to facilitate optimal placement of solar panels on residential roofs. Trash object detection from a drone

Summary: Our team created a system for a large semi-government organization that identifies litter in images taken by drones, aiding in trash collection management. We developed a GIS-based application that enabled easy interaction with identified litter and supported efficient route planning and tracking for collection efforts. Challenge: Thousands of litter items were brought in by waves and scattered across an area of about 1,000 square kilometers, making it challenging and expensive for humans to locate them due to their distribution across multiple islands. Thus, a need arose for an effective method to detect and collect the litter. Solution by AI Superior: We utilized our proprietary computer vision technology for detecting, classifying, and segmenting objects, and created an interactive GIS-based application to showcase results and facilitate collection efforts. Drone images were used for detection, with flights managed by a partner team providing RGB images taken from approximately 50 meters above the ground. Outcome and Implications: The solution reduced the time needed for trash detection activities by 25 times, leading to significant cost savings and halving the overall detection and collection expenses. Additionally, collection time was cut by a factor of 4, and the automated computer vision system achieved a 7% higher detection accuracy than human experts. Moreover, this system lowered the carbon footprint by a factor of 19. The dashboard of the application is depicted in the accompanying image.
