Accedia collaborated with Castle Trust Bank to create, develop, and continually enhance OmniPort, a personal loan origination platform that supports the bank's retail finance operations through a network of over 2,000 retailers in the UK. Castle Trust faced the challenge of expanding its lending operations while maintaining efficiency, security, and a positive customer experience. As the bank ventured into new financial products and partnered with more retailers, it required a strong and flexible platform to keep up with growth. Over a decade of partnership, Accedia contributed to various aspects of the solution. Automated credit decision-making allowed the platform to handle more than 200,000 lending decisions annually, with around 80% of customers receiving a fully automated loan decision in just minutes. To enhance security, Accedia implemented an AI-driven identity verification system utilizing computer vision technology and created a proof of concept for a real-time predictive fraud detection system. On the retailer side, Accedia provided versatile integration options, including API-based connections for complete customization and ready-to-use widgets for quick deployment, ensuring smooth onboarding for partners with varying technical capabilities. Founded in 1935, Alexforbes is a financial services company that offers a range of solutions in retirement, healthcare, investment, and wealth management throughout Africa. Accedia has played a long-term role as a technology partner, providing software development, quality assurance, UI/UX design, and engineering management across various platforms and projects. In September 2024, South Africa introduced the Two Pot Retirement System, marking a significant legislative change in the country's retirement framework. This new regulation altered how contributions are divided and accessed, necessitating financial institutions to modify a complex network of interconnected systems within strict and evolving timelines. Accedia collaborated with Alexforbes teams to ensure that key platforms met these new requirements.
