ABOUT 5AM

Branding as tough as your product line

5AM collaborates with industrial and tough-tech companies in sectors like energy, manufacturing, and construction to create powerful branding, sales presentations, and marketing materials that enable engineering-focused organizations to outperform competitors and attract more customers. I have partnered with CMOs, marketing managers, and founders in industries such as cryogenics, manufacturing, and defense tech to define their brand identity, enhance sales pitches, and boost contract successes. If you need a graphic designer with expertise in technical branding, I would be excited to connect.

About the Team

OUR STORY

Our Narrative Eric Jurkovic is the founder and creative leader of 5AM. There’s no unnecessary detail, just one individual steering each project with precision and purpose. I collaborate closely with founders, entrepreneurs, and marketing managers who recognize the importance of top-notch branding but are unsure of how to start or how the process should progress. My job is to help them transition from confusion to a clear and assured brand identity.

Kaishan Brand Design System

Kaishan

In early 2023, Lance Baird invited me to assist in developing the Kaishan USA brand by implementing a cleaner, more modular design system. The prior branding lacked unity and distinctiveness, which posed difficulties in marketing and partner communication. Instead of starting from the ground up, the Kaishan team aimed to preserve essential brand elements while enhancing their clarity and consistency. Over a span of two years, we improved the identity by simplifying layouts, removing unnecessary embellishments, and creating a versatile visual system. The outcome is a cohesive brand foundation that supports Kaishan’s global operations and guarantees consistency across all digital and physical interactions.

Kapture Brand Identity

Kapture

Kapture, established by Raj Bagri in 2023, is a carbon capture firm that is transforming the way heavy industries approach decarbonization. The company aims to demonstrate that clean technology can be both cost-effective and scalable through its modular system, which can be retrofitted onto diesel generators to capture up to 90% of CO₂ emissions right at the source and convert waste into usable building materials. I created a visual identity that embodies the synergy between innovation and industry, striking a balance that is agile enough for cutting-edge technology while remaining rooted in the realities of the construction and energy fields. The design combines bold typography and streamlined shapes within a versatile framework suitable for various presentations, hardware, and field applications. This results in a brand that appears modern, technical, and credible, enabling Kapture to effectively convey its dual mission of advancing engineering and mitigating industrial emissions.

Water Heater Wiz Brand Identity

Water Heater Wiz

Brad and Scott Bailey, who started a thriving home services business in the Sacramento region, broadened their offerings to include water heater repair. They sought a brand identity that would distinguish them from conventional home repair firms while remaining sleek, contemporary, and easily recognizable to local residents. I developed a strong and adaptable visual system using modular design components that enabled the new brand to build trust, enhance visibility, and ensure consistency across all marketing materials and service vehicles.
