Dan Rak Design

Dan Rak Design, an award-winning interior design firm located in Chicago, is involved in high-profile projects nationwide. Their outdated and inadequate online presence was hindering the firm's growth in securing higher-budget projects and new collaboration opportunities. To initiate the rebranding process, I conducted an in-depth analysis of the target audience, which enabled me to establish a distinctive positioning for Dan Rak Design in the crowded market. With a strong brand strategy in place, I crafted a timeless brand identity system that reflected the key elements of Dan’s design aesthetic. Subsequently, I designed and developed a tailored Squarespace website that effectively showcased the new aesthetic, complemented by custom-written copy that aligned with the stunning project photography.

Saint Germain is a real estate consulting company located in Chicago, Illinois. With over 30 years of experience across four main areas of real estate, the founder aims to provide clients with clear strategies to navigate their real estate challenges. The brand is distinct in several ways, necessitating an accurate representation of its essence. Furthermore, the business serves two different audience groups, which required the development of a cohesive overarching brand, including brand strategy, messaging, identity, and website design that resonates with both. To achieve this, I crafted a brand strategy by analyzing the needs and objectives of each audience, as well as the business's goals. This led to the creation of a timeless brand identity system that reflected the strategy. Subsequently, I developed the website content to ensure the brand's message was conveyed effectively before assembling everything into a tailored Squarespace website.

The client sought to move away from a dated 15-year-old aesthetic and instead aimed for a professional and confident image that resonates with their target luxury audience. They wanted to distinguish themselves from competitors and establish themselves as design leaders in a saturated market. Crafting a distinctive brand is crucial for interior designers to stand out. Polay Interiors rejects the idea of simply following trends; the goal was to create a brand identity that blends modern and classic elements. I opted to utilize bold, custom typography to convey their expertise while considering key design principles such as optical balance, symmetry, and spacing—vital aspects of interior design. To infuse a narrative element into their brand identity, I incorporated their tagline, "From Concept To Completion," as design elements to create a timeless brand image.
