Catalyzing Climate Action on Cape Ann
TownGreen is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing climate resilience throughout Cape Ann, Massachusetts. By focusing on education, forming strategic partnerships, and implementing community-driven initiatives, the organization supports local governments and residents in addressing the region’s urgent climate issues. As TownGreen transitioned from a grassroots movement to a central coordinating body, it required a website that accurately represented the scope of its efforts, fostered collaboration, and motivated significant local involvement. When TownGreen reached out to 118Group, it was experiencing a major transformation. Originally a small, education-centric nonprofit, it was evolving into a strategic facilitator by organizing regional working groups, spearheading ecological restoration initiatives, and collaborating with local governments on climate resilience efforts. This change created a need for clarity: TownGreen required assistance in defining its new mission, structuring its expanding range of programs, and developing a website that could convey its goals, encourage community participation, and illustrate its broader regional significance. The organization aimed for a website that clearly conveyed its changing role as a regional climate leader while allowing for community engagement, program expansion, and long-term trustworthiness. The main goal was to revamp the website from a collection of program updates into a cohesive, forward-looking platform that aligns with TownGreen’s evolving strategy.
