Due to most of our work being covered by NDAs, this overview reflects a typical deployment for enterprise and hyperscale clients in UK data centres, representing numerous projects completed since 2017. We prioritize NDA-friendly practices: no logos displayed and no details shared without consent. **Planning:** Engagements often begin before any equipment arrives. We provide guidance on cabinet selection, rack elevations, cable management tools, and specifications for fibre and copper. This ensures that what is delivered fits both the physical space and the workload. For clients who prefer a single point of accountability, we also procure the necessary accessories. **Receive and Stage:** Clients send their servers, switches, and networking equipment directly to the facility. We manage the receiving process, inspect and inventory each asset, and coordinate the movement of equipment into the data hall in a systematic manner that keeps aisles clear for other tenants. **Build:** Cabinets are assembled and positioned, then filled, arranged, and cabled to a consistent standard. This includes structured copper and fibre uplinks to the core, as well as proper labeling and dressing that will remain presentable for years. Clients do not need to provide a cabling specification; we understand industry standards and adhere to them consistently. **Configure:** We handle iDRAC and out-of-band access, firmware setup, and initial network configuration. We then collaborate directly with the client’s engineering team, often across different time zones, to configure the servers and resolve any issues until a smooth handover is achieved. **On-site Liaison:** We serve as the client’s representative with the facility and third-party services, including ISP cross-connects, carrier meet-me-room tasks, and client escalations. **Close Out:** We ensure all packaging is removed, unused equipment is returned, consumables are disposed of responsibly, and complete as-built documentation is provided. One cohesive team manages everything from the initial cabinet setup to the final cable installation.

16-Rack Deployment | UK Data Centre | US Client

When a U.S. enterprise client required the completion of a 16-rack installation within a demanding timeline, DACPros was called in to manage the project on-site. The tasks included the full assembly of network equipment and a fleet of Dell servers, configuring iDRAC for out-of-band management, and connecting uplinks to the core router cabinets. The challenges were substantial: a strict deadline, limited aisle space, and a functioning facility with neighboring tenants actively at work. To meet the deadline, we expanded our team by engaging trusted partner engineers, a strategy we frequently use to enhance capacity without compromising quality. The key to success was our meticulous planning. With a narrow hot aisle and multiple tasks occurring simultaneously, we developed a phased shift schedule that allowed the racking crew, cabling team, and configuration engineers to operate on the same level without interfering with one another. Activities in the power-up, cold aisle, and hot aisle were arranged sequentially to ensure that no task impeded another, and every cable run was labeled and documented as it was installed, providing the client with a clean, audit-ready record from the outset. We completed the project on schedule, delivering a fully assembled, powered, cabled, and iDRAC-configured setup with core uplinks connected and tested, primed for their remote configuration teams to take over immediately upon handoff. Clients return to us because of our swift deployment across the UK, a vetted network of partners for additional capacity, cross-timezone coordination for international clients, and a disciplined approach to managing complex, multi-team installations in tight spaces without issues. We approach every cable tie and label with the diligence of knowing that your NOC may need to reference them at 3 a.m. — and one day, they will.

New ISP Circuit Delivery & Commissioning

Setting up a new ISP circuit in a colocation facility may seem straightforward, but it can quickly become complicated. Typically, this process leads to prolonged email exchanges among the client, carrier, and data center operator, with each discrepancy causing further delays. However, our approach is different. We ensure same-day collaboration. When a client orders a new circuit, we arrange for our engineer to be present on-site the same day the ISP's field engineer arrives. With both teams in the room, equipped with the necessary tools and decision-making authority, what usually takes weeks can be resolved in a single visit. Prior to the installation day, we lay the groundwork by confirming the cross-connect with the data center operator, checking the availability of racks and ports, pre-running patch leads to the meeting room, and ensuring the demarcation point is ready. On the installation day, we provide the patch, verify light levels and link status, connect the circuit to the client's edge device, and conduct connectivity and throughput testing with the carrier’s network operations center while they are present. If there are issues such as incorrect hand-offs, VLAN tags, or IP allocations, or if the fiber is dirty, we resolve them immediately instead of rescheduling. Additionally, our engineers come equipped with fiber inspection scopes, cleaning kits, and light meters as standard tools. Common problems like dirty connectors and weak signals, which often lead to failed installations, can be diagnosed and addressed within minutes. We are also flexible with delivery times, offering installations during evenings, weekends, and within the client's preferred maintenance windows if production traffic prevents work during normal hours. Upon completion, we provide the client with comprehensive documentation of the hand-off, cabling layout, and test results. This proactive and coordinated approach means a single visit instead of weeks of rescheduling, with one accountable team managing the process on your side of the demarcation point.
